01 · The Business
Who they are, and how they trade.
Allens Windows and Doors supplies and fits windows and doors for homes across Coventry, handling everything from planned replacements to urgent repairs. It works directly with homeowners, often on jobs that need attention at short notice. Because much of the work is reactive and carried out in people’s homes, being able to take payment on the spot, in whatever way suits the customer, is a real practical advantage.
Trades and service businesses are often paid on site or once the job is done, so being able to take a card payment anywhere, and get the money in quickly, keeps cash flow steady.
02 · The Challenge
The sales that walked out the door.
A lot of their work is reactive and unbudgeted, such as a failed lock or a broken window that a customer hasn’t planned for and needs sorting immediately. In those situations customers often want to pay there and then, frequently by card or even credit card to spread the cost. Previously the business had no way of accepting card payments at all, which meant chasing bank transfers or waiting on cheques and slowing down its own cash flow.
What mattered most. A simple way to accept cards, backed by local support that is easy to reach around the clock.
03 · The Switch
Teya, chosen for the job.
NEOM set them up with Teya so they can now take card payments on the spot, including credit cards for larger or unexpected jobs. That makes life easier for customers facing an urgent repair and gets the business paid immediately rather than days later. They also benefit from local 24/7 support and no long-term contract, so they’re never tied in and always have someone to call.
Because this was a first setup, the priority was getting it right from day one: the right machine, the right pricing, and support that is easy to reach.
