01 · The Business
The business behind the numbers.
P Frost Bakeries is a Coventry bakery producing fresh bread, cakes, pastries and baked goods daily. It serves a mix of walk-in local shoppers as well as trade and wholesale customers who rely on consistent supply. With both a retail counter and wholesale orders to manage, keeping clear track of takings across the business is as important as what comes out of the ovens.
Independent food shops rely on regulars and steady footfall, so quick payments at the counter and fees that do not eat into tight margins are what count.
02 · The Challenge
The costs that never got reviewed.
On Worldpay, the team wanted clearer reporting and a proper app so they could keep on top of takings without wrestling with cumbersome systems. They also needed a reliable connection at the counter, because a bakery does much of its trade in concentrated morning rushes when there’s no time for a terminal to drop out. Dependable day-to-day reliability was non-negotiable for keeping that queue moving.
What mattered most. Reliable connectivity, user-friendly reporting and a mobile app, backed by local support that is easy to reach around the clock.
03 · The Switch
Teya, chosen on fit.
NEOM set them up on Teya with an easy-to-use app and straightforward reporting, giving the owners a clear, real-time picture of the business from their phone. Dependable connectivity keeps the counter running smoothly through the busy morning trade. The move also reduced their card processing costs by around 49%, close to half, which is a substantial saving for an independent bakery to reinvest.
